Talk about being careful what you ask for… We have had plenty of rain now. Harvey has dumped an enormous amount of rain all over Austin, and just the right amount of rain in some areas. Needless to say, I no longer recommend running the irrigation during the rain.

My thoughts are with all of those affected by hurricane Harvey. I have many family members in Houston and, thankfully they have all weathered the storm safely and with very little property damage. I realize many of us in the Hill Country have strong ties to the Houston area and I hope all of your friends and family are safe as well.
